SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Simpsonville Activity Center is playing host to one of the most unique volleyball tournaments imaginable - a sitting volleyball tournament.

More than 100 athletes will compete in volleyball matches with most of the same rules as the usual game, except none of the player can take their rear end off the floor.

Sliding and crawling with hands and feet is the only way players can move along the court to score points, much like the sitting volleyball game that is played during the Paralympics.

The matches start on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Admission is free, but you are asked to donate to the MDA to support research to stop Muscular Dystrophy.
