GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

As the snow stormed through the South this week, many school districts shut down on a day-to-day basis.

In order to get the word out, many school districts update their websites, send phone messages to parents and alert the local media, but some districts are getting a little creative with their delivery.

In Durham, NC, Durham Academy announced they will be closed Feb. 13 via a video that has gone viral.

Even an Upstate school district superintendent joined in on the Ice, Ice Baby fun with a video posted Thursday to announce Friday's school closure. Superintendent Dr. Scott Mercer posted the video on his Facebook page here.
