ATLANTA (AP) -

Georgia utility companies report that more than 202,000 customers in the state were still without power Thursday night after a storm blanketed the region with snow and ice.

Georgia Power said about 123,625 customers were without service as of 9:15 Thursday night in 2,410 outages throughout the state.

Also, the state's electric membership cooperatives, or EMCs, say that about 78,600 of their customers were without power Thursday night. EMC officials say power has been restored to more than 200,400 customers of the EMCs since the storm began.

The numbers have been fluctuating throughout the day as crews restored power and new outages were reported.
