GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenwood County deputies say they have identified a man found dead in a wrecked truck as a man who had been missing for four days.

Deputies said the victim was 29-year-old Darron Harmon, who had traveled to a friend's house in Columbia on Sunday and was last seen leaving on Monday at 5 a.m.

Troopers said he wrecked in a creek off of Secondary 227 in Saluda County that morning.

Harmon's body was found in the creek on Friday, four days after he went missing, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the truck ran off the left side of the road, struck a traffic sign, went down an embankment, struck a tree and overturned into a creek.

The family of the 29-year-old said he went to meet some friends at the Columbiana Mall in Columbia on Sunday night. According to the sheriff's office report, Harmon left his friend's Columbia home about 5:30 a.m. when they left for work. The friends told deputies they had been drinking in the night, but he told them he had sobered up enough to drive home.

Deputies said they were able to find the truck after getting the help of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, who provided a helicopter search.
