Sarasota Police seek information in cold case murder

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL (WFLA) - Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in solving a murder.

The body of Jolene Turner was located in a field near the intersection of 10th St. and Goodrich Ave. on March 22, 2013. Investigators quickly determined the death of the 42-year-old woman was a homicide.

Sarasota County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $3,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the parties responsible.

According to a Sarasota Police Department report officers responded to the scene just after 7 p.m. Turner had been reported missing from her home at 1666 9th St. one week prior.
