ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson Police are investigating a pair of shootings that sent two men to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

Tilley said responding officers found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the upper back at the Ingles on North Main Street around 2:15 p.m.

Tilley said the man's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The victim told police he and a friend were walking behind the supermarket on Boulevard Heights when a small, dark car rolled up beside them and someone inside the car opened fire, Tilley said.

Police were working to get a better description of the car and the possible suspects, Tilley said.

Roughly twenty minutes later, Tilley said, officers received word about another shooting near the intersection of East Franklin and South Manning streets.

Tilley said officers found another man suffering from gunshot wounds near that intersection, who was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the two shootings do not appear to be related.

Police said no suspects have been identified in either case.
