SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg police said three women are accused of attacking a neighbor and destroying her cell phone so she could not call for help.

Police said they were called to the victim's Magnolia Street apartment complex Saturday about 9:50 a.m. after she said she was jumped by the suspects.

The victim told police she was walking back home after having breakfast when she was jumped. The women took her cell phone, stomped on it and broke it, according to the police report.

The suspects followed her and pushed her to the ground again, police said. According to the report, a witness saw both attacks.

The victim had scratches and cuts on her and also complained of back pain because she recently had spinal surgery, according to police. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The three suspects were arrested and charged with assault and battery by mob. Police identified them as Wendy Rice, 46; Ladovia Dawkins, 25; and Jammicka Dawkins, 22. Police did not give any information about the motive behind the attack.
