BOILING SPRINGS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Rainbow Lake Middle School is dismissing early because of a power failure.

A spokesperson for Spartanburg School District 2 said it will take a few hours to repair, so parents were notified they could begin picking up their students at 12:30 p.m. Monday.

At 12:30 p.m., students began being transported to Boiling Springs High School, where they may be picked up by parents until the end of the school day.

Any students remaining will be taken by bus at their normal time Monday afternoon.

The district said students are being fed lunch and they are taking good care of the children.

Parents are asked to pick up RLM students at Boiling Springs High using the bus entrances from Old Furnace Road or the back entrance off McMillan and pick up in front of the auxiliary gymnasium.
