GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville man is accused of following a car closely and pointing a gun at the car during a case of road rage, according to police.

According to Johnathan Bragg with the Greenville Police Department, a man merged onto Interstate 385 at Woodruff Road and pointed a gun at a car that had three people inside about 6:50 p.m. on Saturday.

Bragg said the driver, identified as 28-year-old Sean Osborne, had followed the car closely and flashed his lights at them. He said the people in the car called police and described Osborne's car as a Toyota Rav 4.

An officer spotted the SUV and pulled it over at East North Street and Lavinia Avenue, where Osborne was arrested, Bragg said.

He said the officer found a Ruger revolver, 38 special, 38 special bullets and an open beer in the SUV. Osborne was charged with open container and pointing and presenting a firearm.
