GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Two people are dead after a single car wreck in Cherokee County on Monday afternoon, coroner Dennis Fowler said.

According to Fowler, the 1995 Toyota Corolla was headed north on Darwin Road at 1:45 p.m. when it went into the curve at a high rate of speed, lost control and ran off the road hitting a tree.

Fowler identified the victims as the driver, 19-year-old Lynsey Marie Davis, of Gaffney, and 19-year-old Zekeius Nijae Sullivan, of Greenville.

Davis' 22-year-old sister was in the passenger seat and was treated and released from the hospital, Fowler said.

Fowler said the three were headed to Sullivan's home in Greenville when the collision occurred.

Highway Patrol reported the crash on 280 Darwin Road at Deer Haven Drive.
