ROEBUCK, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Roebuck firefighters discovered a car on fire Monday night that set fire to nearby woods.

The fire district posted on their Facebook page that they were called to a disabled vehicle fire. They said the SUV was discovered on fire but no one was with it.

The fire set the woods on fire, but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze. The fire broke out along Carolina Drive.

Spartanburg County deputies were called in to assist with the investigation and went by the car owner's home. She told deputies that she last drove her car about 8 p.m. and it was parked in her driveway and she had not let anyone borrow it.

No other details about the fire have been released.
