According to warrants provided by police, 31-year-old Shephanie Erwin is charged with taking the ambulance from Pardee Hospital while she was under the influence.
Hendersonville police said they pursued the stolen ambulance, and once they got it to stop, an officer ran in front of it to open the driver's side door.
Police said Erwin then attempted to run over the officer.
