PARIS (FOX) - Secretary of State John Kerry is making another attempt to push Israelis and Palestinians toward a peace deal.

Kerry met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Paris on Wednesday to discuss ongoing negotiations between both sides.

Abbas says he isn't looking to change Israel's social composition, but rather defend the rights of Palestinians who fled or were driven out of the country during conflicts.

Kerry is hoping to get Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to a framework which will guide negotiations to solve issues like the fate of Palestinian refugees and the status of Jerusalem.

But so far little progress has been made between the two sides since talks resumed in July after a three-year halt.
