SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A second man wanted after an attack at a motel was arrested and went before a judge early Wednesday.

Bond was denied for 26-year-old Jason Bishop, who was charged with first-degree burglary, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, criminal domestic violence high and aggravated charge. His next court appearance will be before a circuit court judge.

First responders were called to the Carolina Inn and Suites at 810 Hospitality Drive just before 9 p.m. on Feb. 18. Spartanburg County deputies said a woman was physically assaulted by  Bishop, the father of her child.

According to a sheriff's office report, Bishop stopped by the woman's room to "start something" and began choking her. She was able to get away and went to a room next door, deputies said.

Deputies said Bishop and his friend, 22-year-old Michael Ham, were told not to come in, but the men came running into the room, swinging a golf club at everyone and stabbed the other victim in the stomach.

The victim told deputies he did not know which man stabbed him and he was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment. Deputies said his injuries were believed to be non-life threatening. The female victim was treated on the scene by EMS.

Bishop and Ham fled the scene before deputies arrived. Deputies said they found the golf club broken in the hotel room, finding the putter in some clothes.

Ham was later arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

On Feb. 25, deputies said they spotted Bishop walking near the intersection of East Main Street and Bonanza Drive in Spartanburg, where he fled into the woods.

The deputy then called for additional officers who saturated the area and caught him coming out where they arrested him without incident, deputies said.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's office confirmed Bishop was arrested in 2013 in connection with his father's death, but the charge was dropped.
