GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

More than 400 jobs are headed to Greenville following the announcement of a Fortune 100 Company's plan to open a Greenville location.

San Francisco-based Esurance has procured an existing Greenville County property to pen a new sales and claims office, creating at least 450 new jobs and investing $2.1 million in the area.

The first South Carolina location for the personal lines insurer, Esurance's other sales locations are in Sacramento, Sioux Falls, Tampa and Phoenix.

The office will move into the Ahold Information Systems facility at 1200 Brookfield Blvd. in Greenville in the summer of 2014.

Recruiting is slated to begin immediately, and all jobs will start above county and state averages, including sales positions offering an average annual salary of $50,000 and up with performance incentives, along with "full and very attractive benefit packages," according to Greenville Area Development Corporation.

Anyone interested in applying for a job with Esurance can join the Esurance talent network or apply online at http://www.esurance.com/about/jobs.

GADC said Ahold is not leaving Greenville, they will simply be moving to a different location.

Esurance was acquired by Allstate in October 2011, and since then, the company has nearly doubled in size, with more than 3,000 employees across 16 offices nationwide.
