GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help identifying one of two suspects in a strong armed robbery.

Deputies said the suspect approached a woman in the parking lot of the Walmart on Woodruff Road on Feb. 10 around 2:15 p.m. Deputies said the suspect in the attached photos began asking questions about local charities and which ones were best to donate to. During the conversation, deputies said a second man approached the victim and joined in the conversation. The victim began to give the men directions to a local church where the subjects could make a donation and agreed to ride with both the men to the church.

Deputies said that the driver, who deputies said was the man in the attached photos, ended up stopping the car behind the Publix on Woodruff Road, and stopped the car.

Deputies said that's when the second suspect began hitting the victim and trying to rip her purse away from her.

The victim told deputies she jumped out of the car and one of the men then pushed her down and took her purse from her.

She said the men then drove off in an unknown vehicle.

Deputies said the victim was not hurt.

Deputies asked that anyone who may have information or can identify the man in the photo to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
