TAYLORS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Taylors woman won big in Wednesday nights Powerball drawing, but fell short of the huge jackpot.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, said it was her husband's idea to buy the ticket for a charge at the $425 million jackpot.

"I didn't really want to buy one, but I handed him a $1 and he told me he needed $2 to get the ticket," she said.

The woman said the day after the drawing she overheard a coworker say a winning ticket was bought at the Li'l Cricket on Wade Hampton Blvd.

The woman then got the ticket from her car's cup holder and found out she had matched the first five numbers, but missed the Powerball number.

"My husband was on the phone screaming at me to sign the ticket," she said.

The woman said she only had one regret, not paying the extra dollar for the PowerPlay, which would have doubled the $1 million prize.
