SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg Police said they were searching for two suspects after a number of cars were broken into in the parking lot outside the Gold's Gym on W. O. Ezell Boulevard.

Officers said at least five vehicles were broken into Friday night between 7 and 9 p.m.

One woman reported that cash, social security cards, birth certificates, medication, debit cards and a checkbook were stolen from a purse she left in a Cadillac Escalade, according to police reports.

Two others also reported that cash and debit cards had been stolen from their vehicles.

Others reported that they found their vehicle's glove boxes left open, and the contents in disarray.

The report states that one woman told officers that the rear window was also busted out of her Jeep Wrangler.

Officers said surveillance footage showed an older male approaching each of the damaged vehicles. The video also showed a vehicle driving around the parking lot and parking near each of the vehicles that were broken into, officers said.

Police said the suspects had not been identified at this time.
