SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Customers in the Woodruff-Roebuck Water District in Spartanburg County are no longer under a boil water advisory.

The affected area included residents within a 3-mile radius of the intersection of Highway 221 and Highway 295.

According to a statement by the water district, it is no longer necessary to boil water before drinking or cooking.

The repeal comes after the distribution system was intensely flushed and the Woodruff-Roebuck Water District Water Laboratory collected and analyzed water samples, the statement said.
