UPDATE: Missing Henrico boy found safe

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

We are just getting word from Henrico Police that a missing 13 year old who has autism has been found safe.

Lieutenant Linda Toney confirmed the news around 2 p.m. Sunday. Nicholas Jermaine Smith was last seen by his sister around 8:00 a.m. Sunday.

Henrico Police were searching an area near Parham and Woodman Roads for the missing Brookland Middle School student.

No word on exactly where he was found, but we are told he is not injured. He is now back home with his family.
