SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man and woman charged after a traffic stop by Spartanburg police may face additional charges from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, according to police reports.

Spartanburg police said officers took Robert Lydia and Meagan Suttles into custody Saturday after a traffic stop on Pine Street.

Officers said Lydia was driving without proof of insurance, driving with a suspended license and was driving over 20 miles in excess of the speed limit.

Officers said Suttles was in possession of stolen cards and other items belonging to a woman Suttles claimed she was returning the items to.

Deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said they spoke with the owner of the stolen items, who confirmed Suttles was not supposed to be in possession of the items.

Deputies said the victim's husband noticed several other items from their home were missing, along with a spare key to the home that Suttles knew the location of.

Currently Lydia and Suttles only face charges related to the city case. Both suspects are being held in the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
