GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police said they are working to find a woman who stole from a store at Haywood Mall and then hit a loss prevention officer with her car before she got away.

Officers said it happened about 3:45 p.m. on Sunday when two Dillard's employees saw a woman run out of the store with at least 10 dresses worth at least $1,000.

Police said the employees followed the woman into the parking garage, and as one employee tried to take note of her license tag number, the woman accelerated her car and hit the employee in the leg.

Loss prevention employees and police are reviewing security cameras from the store and the parking garage to identify the suspect and the car in which she drove away.

Police released surveillance photos from the incident on Monday and said the woman is wanted for shoplifting and attempted murder charges.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Greenville police or Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
