SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County investigators have arrested an Upstate pastor accused of sexually abusing a teen on Monday, according to Lt. Kevin Bobo with the sheriff's office.

Bobo said the investigator interviewed the victim, her mother and another witness before speaking with the suspects, who immediately invoked his right to a lawyer. Deputies then went to a magistrate judge and obtained a warrant for 27-year-old Ronald Norris of Roebuck.

Norris was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct and was taken to jail Monday night, according to Bobo.

According to deputies, the victim said Norris inappropriately touched her, kissed her and made her take her clothes off on multiple occasions since she was 16. According to his arrest warrant, Norris sexually battered the teen using force or coercion.

He went before a judge early Tuesday where his bond was set at $10,000. The judge also ordered he have no contact with the alleged victim. The magistrate's office said he bonded out of jail around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Bobo said Norris is the pastor at The Church at 1855 E. Main St. in Spartanburg.
