Free shred event held to help Harvest Hope Food Bank

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville area residents looking to destroy important documents and help the community at the same time are in luck.

Shred 360 will be holding a free document shred day on Thursday where they will also be accepting monetary donations or donations of at least five non-perishable food items to help the Harvest Hope Food Bank.

Suggested items to shred are financial statements, canceled checks, credit card statements and credit card pre-approval letters, payroll stubs, insurance forms, and old tax returns, a spokesperson for Harvest Hope said.

The shredding event will be held on Feb. 27 at the Woodruff Road Walmart located at 1451 Woodruff Rd. from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and then 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
