SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

In the wake of Tuesday's Simpsonville City Council meeting, officials will meet again Saturday morning for a special called meeting.

On Tuesday night, the council voted to award re-instated Police Chief Keith Grounsell back pay for more than a year's worth of salary he did not receive following his 2012 firing. No other details were released about how that salary may be paid out.

According to the meeting's agenda, after roll call the council will go into an executive session to discuss "the compensation of an employee."

The agenda does not say what city employee that may be.

The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at the council chambers at 118 N. E. Main St.
