ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A camera found in a stolen vehicle has been returned to its owner, the camera's owner told FOX Carolina News.

Brian Moorehead said his camera - which contained a hilarious selfie - was returned to him by the sheriff's office after he described it to them on Friday afternoon.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office posted the selfie on their Facebook page looking for information after the camera was found in a stolen SUV and the owner of the vehicle said it didn't belong to him.

Moorehead said his car was broken into off Highway 81 in Anderson during the most recent snowstorm and the camera was the only thing taken.

Investigator Jeremy Garrett said the camera was possibly stolen by the same person(s) who also stole the car.

Lt. Sheila Cole said there is a person of interest in the case but no arrests have been made at this time.

Deputies emphasized there is no indication the people in the photo are connected to the theft.
