Deputies: Registered sex offender charged with exposing himself to child

BURNSVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A 63-year-old registered sex offender is facing charges after deputies said he exposed himself to a child on several occasions.

The Yancey County Sheriff's Office said they arrested John Rozelle, of Burnsville, N.C., and charged him with seven counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and one felony county of indecent exposure.  

Deputies said they responded to concerns from citizens and officers about Rozelle, who is a registered sex offender in North Carolina. 

In their investigation they said they talked to a child victim who disclosed that Rozelle had exposed himself on several occasions, deputies said. 

Rozelle was the interviewed about the incidents and charged, deputies said.

Rozelle is being held on $250,000 bond at Yancey County jail.
