Report: Dog stabbed at AnMed walking track

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A woman reported to Anderson police her dog was stabbed at the walking track at AnMed Hospital in Anderson on Tuesday.

According to the incident report, the woman and her sister brought their dogs to the walking track at AnMed Hospital and one of the dogs got loose while she was adjusting its collar.

The woman said her dog went up to a man that was walking his dog, the incident report said.

The two dogs then began fighting and she attempted to separate them, the report said.

After the dogs were separated the woman reported noticing her black and white lab bleeding profusely from its side.

The woman said she heard another person say the man stabbed her dog.

According to the incident report, she asked him if he had stabbed the dog and he said yes before he took off running.

The owner said the dog died following the stabbing.
