A woman has been charged after police uncovered an illegal gambling operation at an educational supply store in Anderson.
Acting on a tip from Crime Stoppers, Anderson police said they used an undercover officer to document illegal gambling machines in action at The Chalk Monkey on 2808 N. Main St. starting on Feb. 28.
Police said they were able to track illegal gambling transactions and payouts at the location.
After receiving search warrants, officers seized seven video gambling machines, 17 computer based video gambling machines, three computer towers and four surveillance cameras, according to the Anderson Police Department.
Kathy Brown was charged with unlawful gambling and operating a gaming house, police said.
