UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said a days-old argument led to a fight and stabbing in Union County during the weekend.

Union County deputies said they were called to the hospital Saturday where the victim was being treated for several stab wounds.

The victim said Kendrick Sims, 20, confronted him saying he wanted to fight because of an argument they had a few day earlier, according to the deputy's report. The report said the victim pushed Sims away saying he was not going to fight and then went inside a Buffalo home.

When the victim left the Duncan Avenue house, Sims run at him with a kitchen knife, deputies said.

The report said the victim was stabbed in the forearm, bicep and hand trying to defend himself. A group of people were able to pull Sims off the victim, deputies said.

A warrant has been signed for Sims' arrest on the charge of attempted murder, according to deputies.

Anyone with information on Sims' whereabouts should contact the Union County Sheriff's Office.
