WESTMINSTER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Westminster couple has been charged after deputies said they smoked meth in the home with their two children.

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office charged 20-year-old Amber Swafford and 23-year-old Bradley Owens with two counts of unlawful neglect of a child.

Jimmy Watt, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, said a deputy went to the DSS office in Walhalla on March 5 and was told the couple's two children tested positive for meth.

Watt said Swafford and Owens, the biological parents of the child, also tested positive for meth.

Watt said one child is less than 6 years old and the other is younger than 1 year old.

Owens and Swafford were both released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a $40,000 personal recognizance bond on Tuesday.
