The man accused of causing a deadly crash on the turnpike this past Thanksgiving Day has been declared incompetent to stand trial.

The lawyer for Andrew Gans says that ruling was made in court yesterday following a court-ordered evaluation of Gans's mental health.

Ohio State Highway Patrol says Gans was driving anywhere between 125 and 150 miles per hour when he slammed into a van late on Thanksgiving 2013. The impact killed the elderly couple inside, Wilbur and Margaret McCoy of Toledo.

Gans will be re-evaluated 90 days from now following further treatment.
