Deputies seize multiple gaming machines from Buncombe Co. businesses

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office Anti-Crime Task Force seized multiple gaming machines from several area stores on Tuesday.

According to the sheriff's office, the Anti-Crime Task Force executed search warrants for Stanley's CITCO, 479 Weaverville Hwy; Handy Mart, 286 N. Main Street Weaverville, NC and Players Cigar Bar, 170 Rosscraggon Rd. Arden, NC.

Deputies said nine gaming machines and $6,200 in cash was seized in total from the locations.

The sheriff's office has charged 31-year-old Matthew Stanley, of Mars Hill, and 55-year-old Susan Rice, of Asheville with possessing and operating video game machines.
