INMAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies said an Inman woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after her boyfriend was found with a stab wound.

According to an incident report, a deputy arrived at a home along Clark Road in Inman around 2 p.m. and found the victim, identified as 54-year-old Jeffrey Burkett, lying on the kitchen floor with what deputies believe was a stab wound to his chest.

Deputies said Burkett was rushed to Spartanburg Regional Medical center for treatment.

The report states, 48-year-old Tamie Lawson's nephew, 24-year-old Joshua Solesbee, called 911 and told deputies he went to Lawson's home after getting a text message from Lawson saying she stabbed her boyfriend and needed help.

Deputies said Lawson was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Preliminary investigations reveal alcohol may have been involved in the incident.
