MARION, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Investigators are looking for a truck that might be connected to break-ins in McDowell County, the sheriff's office announced on Tuesday.

The white Dodge pickup with the South Carolina tag IKT-499 was caught on surveillance video outside a home in Marion following several thefts in the area, according to the McDowell County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said residents on Old Clear Creek Road in Marion reported multiple items taken from their property on Feb. 20, including a TV, microwave, six guns, electronics and a taxidermied bobcat.

According to the sheriff's office, the truck is also believed to be connected with the theft of a Honda four-wheeler on March 21.

Detective Billie Brown said the culprits offer to do paving jobs and then return to steal property from the homes.

Anyone with information concerning the truck or suspects is asked to call the McDowell County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Branch at 828-652-2237 or McDowell County Crime Stoppers at 828-65-CRIME (652-7463).
