MYRTLE BEACH, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Aaron Talmage and Ashley Clark are high school sweethearts and both currently attend Lander University in Greenwood, SC. Over spring break, on March 14, Talmage proposed to Clark after six and a half years of dating.

But, it's how he did it that's catching so much buzz online.

"Over the summer I was working in Myrtle Beach and as I was riding the SkyWheel. I looked out and that this would be the perfect place. I imagined in my head as I looked out over the beach the words, 'Ashley will you marry me?'" explained Talmage.

Talmage said it took a lot of planning to get Clark down to the beach. And, he said about 20 close friends and family helped him set it all up.

"In fact, once we started setting up the bags with the tea candles, people out on the beach and in hotel rooms saw us and pitched in. By the time we were done we had close to 100 people helping set it all up."

And, you can see in the video what happened next.

Talmage said they've set a tentative date in June of 2015.
