COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

South Carolina State Rep. Bill Chumley, R-Spartanburg, tells FOX Carolina that he plans on introducing another bill Wednesday morning in the state house that would effectively stop the Affordable Healthcare Act, also known as Obamacare, from coming to the Palmetto state.

Chumley said the new bill was originally an amendment to his own nullification bill H3101, which was defeated in the Senate earlier in March.

The amendment was added onto H3101 by State Sen. Tom Davis, R-Beaufort.

Chumley said the amendment will now be a standalone bill.

Davis' amendment would prohibit state money from being used to support the ACA and would also place tight regulations on healthcare navigators tasked with signing people up for insurance.
