COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Some non-winning scratch-off lottery tickets proved lucky for a Cross Hill woman, rewarding her with the perfect 50th anniversary gift.
Dianne Lawrence mailed in three non-winning Honda scratch-off tickets at the Cross Hill post office to her husband's disbelief, but the odds were in her favor when she was one of 87,000 entries to win a brand new Honda Rancher 4x4 ATV.
The South Carolina Education Lottery said Lawrence surprised her husband with the ATV for their anniversary. Their family has enjoyed riding the ATV and lottery officials said her husband is now a believer.
"My husband wants the lottery to have a drawing for a truck next," Lawrence said.
Lawrence was one of five winners selected to win a Honda ATV in the second of three drawings. A total of 15 ATVs will be won, all built at the Honda plant in Timmonsville, SC.
Five more winners will be announced on July 15. Players must submit their non-winning Honda tickets online or by mail by Tuesday, July 8, to be eligible. Click here for more information.
