Deputies: Victims belongings found at burglars' home

COLUMBUS, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in a western North Carolina town said a traffic stop led to the discovery of items stolen during a recent string of burglaries.

Polk County deputies said they pulled a car over along Highway 9 on Thursday and arrested two people in connection with the break-ins, finding some stolen goods in the car.

When they searched their Collinsville Road home, Sheriff Donald Hill said they recovered more stolen items.

Deputies charged Jeremy Hembree with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny, one count of felony possession of stolen good and one count of possession of stolen good.

They charged Jessica Hembree with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny, one count of felony possession of stolen good and one count of possession of stolen good.
