HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A Georgia man has been charged after deputies said he admitted to breaking into an elementary school and spraying two fire extinguishers in the gym.

Chief Deputy Frank Stout said Henderson County deputies responded to an alarm at Edneyville Elementary School on Pace Road at 10 p.m.

As deputies approached the school, they found 19-year-old Ian Nelson Traxler, of Dublin GA, according to Stout.

Stout said Traxler admitted to breaking into the school and discharging to fire extinguishers and throwing a cinder block through a window at Kings Grove Baptist Church across the street.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged Traxler with two misdemeanor counts of injury to real property and one count misdemeanor breaking and entering.
