A Greenwood man has been charged after police said he stole musical equipment and other items from a church in the city on Thursday night.
Police responded to a burglary alarm at Iglesia Cristina Misionera on High Street just before midnight, when they noticed a van leaving the parking lot driven, according to the incident report.
The officer talked to a church representative and found a residence behind the church had been broken into.
The officer issued a "be on the lookout" for the van he saw leaving the parking lot, the report said.
Police said the van matching the description was pulled over on Gilliam Avenue and they identified the driver as 30-year-old Samuel Morales.
Greenwood police found a sound board, framed certificate, water cooler, amplifier, acoustic guitar, saxophone, drum sticks, a picture of a river scene, bass guitar and a trumpet with a case, the report said.
Morales has been charged with burglary, grand larceny and possession of tools of a crime.
