GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Three departing flights were delayed at Greenville Spartanburg International Airport on Saturday morning after generator problems were reported at the airport's control tower.

Rosylin Weston, spokesperson for GSP, said the airport switched to generator power as a precautionary measure Friday night due to the rain and low visibility.

Weston said the control tower generator, which controls the approach lighting system was malfunctioning.

Weston said the problems with the lighting system prevented the last three scheduled flights from landing at the airport Friday night.

Weston said American Airlines flight 2739 which was scheduled to depart for Dallas at 6:10 a.m. will now depart at 1:40 p.m.

Delta flight 3302 which was scheduled to leave for Atlanta at 10:25 a.m. has been rescheduled for 12:25 p.m.

United 4860 scheduled to leave for Newark at 6 a.m. has been rescheduled for 1:10 p.m.
