Spartanburg Co. deputies investigate Family Dollar armed robbery

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies said they are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery of a Family Dollar.

Deputies said they were called to the store on South Church Street Extension on Friday around 10 a.m. after workers said a man wearing a ski mask and a hooded shirt entered the store, pointed a gun at the cashier and told her to open the cash drawer.

Deputies said the cashier opened the register and the suspect grabbed money from the till, and then ordered the cashier to run to the back of the store.

Deputies said the suspect was last seen running from the store on foot.

The suspect has not been named.

Deputies said they are reviewing surveillance footage of the incident.
