SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The father of a 14-year-old girl who ran away with a 16-year old boy on Saturday says both teens were found safe early Sunday morning.

Mike Pili said he woke up around 6:30 a.m. Saturday and discovered that his daughter Kaela was not in her bed.

Pili said he then discovered the back door to the house on Amberleaf Drive and called the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.

Around the same time, Trish Halmich said she noticed her son Anthony was not home and also alerted deputies.

Halmich said the two teens had been dating for about a year after meeting at church.

Pili said he and his wife continued searching for the teens into the night and found them around 1 a.m. Sunday, outside a restaurant in the Five Forks area.

Pili and Halmich said both teens were taken home and are in good health.
