DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Duncan woman returning home Monday morning encountered burglars who were able to flee from the scene, according to deputies.

The woman called 911 to report the break-in at her Woods Chapel Road home about 10 a.m., according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office report.

Only away for about two hours, the woman told deputies she arrived to see a champagne sedan parked in the driveway then saw a man run from her front door to the car. Deputies said the man got into the passenger seat and the car took off.

The woman was unable to notice a tag on the car and though there was some damage to the door frame, nothing was missing, deputies said.

The suspects were not located. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
