Police: Women sought, used fake travelers checks

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police are working to identify two women accused of using forged checks to shop in Greenville then returned the items at a Tennessee store.

Police said on March 19 the women shopped at the Belks at Haywood Mall about 6 p.m. using fake American Express Travelers checks.

The items were later returned at a Belks in Knoxville, according to police.

Police said the white female has a tattoo on the inside of her right forearm and both women were caught in surveillance.

Anyone who can identify either women are asked to call Greenville police or Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
