SALEM, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Dive teams that were searching the water in Lake Jocassee for a missing man on Saturday recovered a body, according to Oconee County Fire Chief Charlie King.

Jimmy Watt with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office said dive teams from Pickens and Oconee dive teams, deputies and responders with Oconee County Emergency Services were called to Devil's Fork State Park in Salem around 11 a.m. after the missing man's car and dog were spotted in the parking lot of the state park.

Watt said the man's family reported him missing on Friday.

King said divers located a man's body in the water near the primitive boat ramp at Devil's Fork State Park after about five hours of searching.

Coroner Karl Addis is withholding the name of the man because it has been determined he drowned and the manner of death has been called a suicide.
