Many areas saw more than 3 inches of rain on Monday. Rivers and streams are running high, and some ponding and minor flooding persists in low lying areas.
Patchy fog, mist and isolated showers are on the way for Tuesday morning, so be sure to give yourself plenty of drive time for the morning commute. Visibilities will improve through the morning, then sunshine will slowly take over.
Highs on Tuesday will reach the upper 60s for the Upstate and upper 50s in the mountains. By Tuesday night a few more showers could drift through the Carolinas, but any rain that falls would be light and short lived.
Wednesday is looking mild and dry, with highs in the 60s area-wide. A warming trend will begin, taking temperatures to near 80 by the weekend.
