Police release photo of car connected to Gaffney Walmart robbery

GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Gaffney police have released a surveillance photo of the robber's car they said fled the scene of an armed robbery in the Walmart parking lot.

The robbery happened about 9:30 a.m. on March 31 in the parking lot of the Walmart on Walton Drive.

Larry Reel, 74, of Iron Station, NC, reported that at 9:30 a.m. a person approached him in the parking lot and put a pistol to his head and demanded money.

He said the suspect then grabbed his wallet and ran. Reel fired shots into the air as the robber fled the scene. Read what he said happened here.

Police said the suspect's car is a 2008-2011 Toyota Corolla white in color with a sunroof.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the Gaffney Police Department.
