Detectives search for man wanted in McDowell Co. thefts, break-ins

MARION, NC (FOX Carolina) -

McDowell County detectives are searching for a man wanted in multiple break-ins and thefts on Tuesday.

The sheriff's office is asking the public for help locating 37-year-old Damien Gonzalez, of Nebo and Marion, for the thefts and break-ins at multiple locations in the area.

Deputies said Gonzalez is 6'2" and weighs 230 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

They said he drives a white Ford pickup truck with the license plate DW-7809.

Anyone with information concerning Gonzalez's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff's Office at 652-2237 or McDowell County Crime Stoppers at 65-CRIME (652-7463).

Deputies said a cash reward is offered with Crime Stoppers.
